For the production of our tailor-made suits, tailor-made shirts, tailor-made shoes and accessories, we have chosen to work with workshops of excellence. Traditional workshops ensure handcrafted quality.
Accompanied by a RIVES tailor, create each outfit from A to Z: choose from over 6000 references of luxurious fabrics, define every detail (thin or wide collar cuffs, notched or pointed, etc.) according to your tastes, your desires and your personality; all perfectly fitted to your measurements. WHY OPT FOR A TAILOR-MADE SUIT RATHER THAN A READY-TO-WEAR ONE?
The traditional tailor-made suit adapts to all measurements and morphological particularities. Since the garment and the pattern don’t yet exist, the tailor’s job is to interpret the desires and needs of each customer, advising them on how to achieve a perfect, unique result. The choices and possibilities for fabrics, patterns, colors, cuts and stylistic details are endless.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR ORDERING A TAILOR-MADE SUIT FROM RIVES PARIS?
The tailor-made experience takes place in 3 stages: information, creation and adjustments. During each of these stages, we take our time and always give priority to exchange. This exchange and sharing are at the heart of our values and our service.
Information: Get in touch, discuss your project, your wishes. During this first meeting, we’ll introduce you to the world of RIVES and our expertise. This appointment allows us to define the contours of your RIVES outfit.
Creation: Accompanied by a tailor, you’ll choose every detail of your suit or outfit before studying your morphology and starting to take measurements.
Fitting: This is the long-awaited moment when you discover your suit. During this fitting, the tailor will make the final adjustments to achieve the perfect silhouette (adjustments which will be made in our own workshop adjacent to the boutique).
WHAT TYPES OF FABRIC ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR TAILOR-MADE SUIT?
At RIVES we offer a very wide choice of exceptional fabrics (over 6000 references permanently in our store). This choice can be adapted to suit the season (tweed and wool flannel in winter, cold wool and light wool-linen-silk blends in summer), the situation (sturdier, heavier fabrics or, on the contrary, softer, more fluid fabrics), and your tastes and desires (more or less patterned fabrics, matte or glossy plain fabrics, etc.).
All our fabrics are selected from the most prestigious and renowned weavers in the world of tailoring to offer you the finest fabrics (Loro Piana, Zegna, Holland & Sherry, etc.).
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY TAILOR-MADE SUIT AFTER THE FIRST MEASUREMENT?
Measuring at RIVES Paris is above all an exchange. Our in-house tailors are there to support you until you’re completely satisfied. So there’s no need to worry about making any changes after the first measurement. Whether you’re hesitating about sleeve length, Trousers, or the comfort of your waist, we’ll have plenty of time to discuss these points during our fittings. Virtually all measures can be revised upwards or downwards. All alterations are then carried out by our own tailors in our workshop adjacent to the boutique.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO FULLY CUSTOMIZE MY TAILOR-MADE SUIT?
At Rives Paris, you create your Outfit from A to Z, according to your needs, tastes and personality. Classic, modern or daring cut; sober color or old-school pattern, thin or wide lapel, notched or pointed… our style consultants will discuss all these elements with you during private appointments. These privileged appointments are at the heart of the RIVES service, enabling everyone to become the creator of their own wardrobe.
ARE RIVES PARIS TAILOR-MADE SUITS MADE IN FRANCE?
Tailor-made suits 100% made in France are no longer available.
After visiting dozens of workshops, we chose to work with one of Europe’s last traditional workshops. Since then, we’ve been working closely with this traditional workshop in the heart of historic Porto. A workshop on a human scale, with artisanal know-how that makes our costumes in the purest sartorial tradition.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE COST OF A TAILOR-MADE SUIT AT RIVES PARIS?
The price of a tailor-made RIVES Paris suit depends mainly on the fabric chosen. That’s why, during your discussions with the company’s style consultants and/or tailors, you’ll discuss the budget allocated to your suit. At Rives Paris, the price of a two-piece suit starts at €1150, and three-piece suits at €1450.
